TREATMENT

The Good Year is the story of an expatriate who returns to his hometown for the first time since the year his younger brother died in an industrial accident. It was also the year his high school won state titles in football, basketball, and baseball. Despite the fact that eleven locals were killed in the explosion, making it the greatest tragedy in town history, it will always be remembered as "The Good Year".

He returns to find how everyone dealt with the tragedy as well as come to grips with the loss himself. He meets the girl he never should have left, the cousin who has become what he knew he would become if he had stayed, and the family who, he believes blame him for the death of the son.
